Anyone know the weight of a stock, factory trunk iid of a 1965 Barracuda?

Thanks in advance!

Are you looking for shipping weight or can one person lift it off by yourself.

I'm 5' -10" relatively average strength and can lift a 67 dart trunk lid (and hood) on and off by myself.

Hi... No, I need to know the weight to get the proper gas strut support for it.

Get a bathroom scale a small piece of plywood 12x12 and a dowel.

Put the plywood down on the floor of the trunk

Scale on plywood

Dowel between scale and trunk

Well, of course, but the car is not where I'm living at right now. Thanks.

Next time you're reading FABO, realize that there a lot of helpful old guys who can get grumpy at the drop of a stupidity hat.

Be thoughtful in wording your statements, queries and requests for assistance. Some guys are quick witted and will pounce on any opportunity.

For example, let's say you were medivacced out of a combat zone, and you incautiously say, "I love Blackhawks." What do you imagine the responses might be? "So do the Kardashians," comes to mind...

My initial response was going to be like this...

Here's what ChatGPT has to say on the question. What is the weight of a stock, factory trunk iid off of a 1965 Barracuda?

ChatGPT said:

The stock factory trunk lid (decklid) of a 1965 Plymouth Barracuda weighs approximately 35 to 40 pounds (16 to 18 kg).
This is for the original steel trunk lid, without any added trim, spoilers, or hardware like hinges and torsion bars. If you're including the latch mechanism and emblem, it might push toward the higher end of that range.
