Tuff Wheel removal

Hi there, I want to remove the Tuff wheel from my race car in favor of a smaller wheel. Is it as simple as removing the wheel and the can and putting on the other wheel and its adaptor? Or installing a different factory wheel? Thanks. Kim

I believe you are correct. The tuff wheel is “flat” so it required the can to push it towards the driver. Most wheels have the angle built into the structure moving it back. Once you remove the wheel you will see the can is attached like any other wheel would be.

The good news is, the can is a whole lot easier to get off of an A body column than the can is to remove on an E body column. You need real long puller bolts to get an E can off and it's still a pain!
