What came stock in the following:

a slant six 71 Duster with a 904

I am STILL in the middle of my 8.8 ford axle conversion, and have swapped out the /6 with 904 to a 318 with 904... I probably won't be able to use the stock shaft, and probably wouldn't want to, but just for conversations sake, what size u joints do I have now? Are they possibly 1310's or 1330's?

What do stock 71 Dusters with the 904 come with? I will probably convert to whatever size these came with stock..

Thanks for the help in advance?

I'm guessing the 318 cars with the 904 came with 7290's, which is similar in size to the 1310's...

Am I able to use 1310's with 7290 yokes? are would I have to change the yoke?

also, I still don't know what slant six cars used.....

Thanks in advance!

It looks like we were posting at the same time. If you're having a driveshaft made, there are several options. What size joint does the 8.8 use?

I can use either 1310's, 1330's or 1350's... i have to buy a new flange yoke, and I'm looking at them right now...I think I'll go 1330... I guess it is not that expensive to have a shaft made, so I can just go 1330's front and back...

it's a mild 318, so I don't think I really need the 1350's...

I would second that fishy for sure it would be 7260, measure 2 1/8 from both clip grove on universal, it would be the 7260, or if its the 7290 it would be 2 5/8. GL
