Urgent Question: Are '62 A-Body Brake Lines Same As '61?

Well, ok, urgent as in "I'm anxious to get my Lancer on the road!".

But I need to change the rear axle brake lines.

I have a source for new rear brake lines, but the company says they only show 1962 lines, not 1961.

Are they the same?

original parts book lists as RV1 & SV1 having same part numbers.....but lists as part numbers 1843 251 through to 1843 254 as 25 foot rolls from 3/16th to 3/8th not as finished parts!! but my bet would be if the lines you found fit 62 they will fit 61....

They might be identical. It's likely they're close enough that any differences would be easy to work around. But before you buy and horse around with steel lines, read this entire thread.

I found a company that sells pre-bent lines in either stock material or stainless, but they don't list a 1961 A-Body set, only a 1962.

I suppose I could order them, see if they fit, and return them if they don't.

My preference is pre-bent, not fabricate.

Anyone else know for sure if 1961 and 1962 rear lines are the same?
