727 Manual reverse pattern Turbo Action Cheeta valve body part 17156Do these have check balls inside?
If so does anyone have a picture of the location of these.
I need to open the Valve body up and dont want to loose the check balls, and I will also need to know where they go back to. That is if it has any.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

I don't recall but if any check balls are going to fall out it will be out of the top half so turn it upside down then unbolt it and separate it. Make a note of any balls, their size and location.

Why do you need to pull it apart ? Are you taking the valve bosy a part or just un bolting the valve body from the case ?

Adam, there's a section of gasket missing from the filter adapter right next to the suction hole. About a 1/2 section is missing. I want to make sure it's not in the Valvebody somewhere. So I am going to open it up and go through it.

The old tranny is out and sitting behind the car. Just need to make a gasket for the filter adapter and put it back together after I clean out the v/b.
I finally got some time to tinker with it this evening.
We've been running, and doing stuff for everybody else lately.

A little update:
Pulled the valve body out, took it apart, All clean.
There is one large ball in the upper section, so it worked out sliding the big section off. The ball stayed in it's home.
I did forget to stop at the Auto parts store and get gasket material, so I'll stop tomorrow, and then make a gasket for the filter adapter.
Then It's on to installing the tranny.
It's probably going to be a while before I get to finish it up. I have more important things to spend money on. The toy will have to wait. I really need to get the garage cleaned out so I can put it away out of site.
