sort of anyways... Having some troubles the car while at a light idled at 220-230 with a UD crank pulley and a 180 stat with holes drilled in it for early leaking and a hi flow water pump. What might the problem be?

Is it a high flow thermostat. I'd replace it anyways, they do stick closed sometimes. Failing that when was the last time you got the cooling system flushed and did it just start doing this overheating at the lights.

well I did a self flush with it last time it heated up.. but Im putting the stock pulley back on and a new belt and a new thermostat

Before changing too many parts find a local rad shop to flow test the rad if it's an original. It shouldn't cost too much and could save you a lot of time and grief. Also do you have the proper fan shroud. Is it a clutched fan? Oh ya Demon seed is right, thermostats are cheap, start there. Kev

yea its a viscous fan, and Im going to do the thermostat and stock pulley first. and see how that works

It's easy to check the viscous fan, when it's cold it should spin with minimum drag although it will have drag, when the engine overheats it should be quite hard to turn by hand (don't try this while the engine is running LOL). Kev
