I have aquired the vinyl top trim and hardware, but have a few questions. I am not going to put a vinyl top on since I plan a resto in the future and don't want to waste the money. I am going to plasti dip the top flat black. What is the best way to install the trim? My car was origonally a vinyl top car , but it was deleted before me. I can see the bondo from the underside of the trunk so I plan to drill the holes out. I also am going to remove the side panels and drill those holes out also.
Question is do I (A) install hardware on trim and attach through holes in car and put on retainer nuts.
(B) install hardware on car and clip on trim.
I would say A but I have no knowledge of what to do correctly. Any of the members vast knowledge and experince is appreciated.
