The one on my 70 Duster Street/Strip car is stuck and I
am tired of crawling thru the darn trunk.

Do the make a new lock assembly or do I need a good used one?

The key turns but not enough travel in the old one anymore to open the trunk.

If you mean the part that bolts to the inside of the trunk, I think I have one from a 74 Duster that I had, will that work on a 70?

that is for a tailgate actuator.
????
It's a new trunk lock kit for a 70 Valiant. The only difference between that and a 70 Duster is the link between the lock and the latch mechanism. Links for different body styles are included, or you can just reuse your old link.

Since it is a race car, take all of the pins, spacers and springs out of the cylinder that is what I did.
I do that on a lot of my cars but the problem is that it no longer turns quite far
enough to release the latch.

But that is good advise on the race cars!

I really appreciate all you guys advise.
Anything to do with body stuff is beyond my
understanding.

Thanks!!

May have to use link rod from original lock with aftermarket kits.
Not really a problem, just letting you know.
This is an example of the original: Mopar nos kit 3499954
