Water pump question

I am replaceing my water pump that has a 6 blade impeller. All i can find are 8 blade impeller water pumps. the 6 blade is special order. Looks like the housings are the same from the 6 to the 8. What will it hurt to run the 8 blade?

i just ordered and picked up today a 6 blade reman from pep boys auto cost 14.99 7,00 core hope it helps as will it hurt i dont think so but wait on more opions good luck the name of manufacture on my pump was procool

8 blade is for a/c cars, will fit in place of a 6 blade, 8 blade moves more water.

yup 8 blade = a/c and cop cars,,wont make any difference to you running it, and as stated will move more water,,i run an 8 blade with a plate on the back of the impeller to capture more water,,,

I have always used the 8 instead of the 6 on all applications.
