Went and bought a new power steering box from steer and gear.stage 1. fast service came in 4 days. Got it on thurs. started puting it in on fri after work.I pulled the battery and battery box ,undid the motor mount (driver side) and took it off, loosened up the other side ,jacked the motor up.undid the steering coulper ,pull the steering colume up ,and after unbolting the pitman arm and getting it off (used a small amount of heat and a pitman arm puller) was able to get the power steering box up and out throught the battery box area. Sat morning went out and reveresed the whole thing.a lot of sweat some blood but no tears! man what a difference it has made!!! If anyone is debateing whether to do this or not let me tell ya go ahead and make the change night and day difference.my daughter loves it now and is ready to drive it to school and all over the place! did you get a different ratio or just stock?
I went stock. The problem was she didn't like the way it wandered all the time like driving a boat. man she LOVES it now!!! The next thing on her list is AC.Nicole's 66, her dad, Don 66 barracuda ,ps,power disk brakes, elect iginition , 273ci
