Instead of selling my barracuda hood i decided to do custom paint ideas on it. I used candys, metal flakes, holographic metal flake & base coats.

No i have a fiberglass hood for my barracuda. Going to hang it up somewhere outside.

It's way too nice to be outside! Maybe on the backside of the house if you have a deck?

What size tip does your gun spray to get that flake on? I’m doing a 70’s style van in my shop and would love to experiment with it. Awesome job. I have been checking out that kinda of style on Utube. Neat ways to get those patterns.

no smaller than a 1.8 if you can find a 2.0 that would be perfect the gun i use has a 1.8 from harbor freight

If you've got a good lake nearby, and the Bass fishermen see how good you do the flake......you gonna be painting a lotta Bass boats! Them guys love some metal flake on their boats.

I have plans for the FB hood thats on it. The place where i get my paint supplies made me a custom color for my barracuda. Its a candy red color shift. It turns red to black. My hood just might get marbleized.

yea i think thats all done with geal coat im not sure that automotive clear would handle the pounding they take ill have to do some homework on thatIf you've got a good lake nearby, and the Bass fishermen see how good you do the flake......you gonna be painting a lotta Bass boats! they used to have something called flip-flop. changed colors at different angles or light(?). got outlawed

They are not outlawed in PA The guy i get my paint material from makes custom colors & he has made several color shifts. He has made ones that shift one color & he made ones that shift several colors.

Never once heard flip flop pearl being outlawed in My life, & Ford used it on F-150's, Taurus/Sables. First time I saw it done, Donnie Bell painted the top on His '70 Cutlass Supreme White Flip Flop, the rest of the body Radiant Green. I liked the Radiant Green so much I painted the Rallye/Swinger meld on My 'Killer6' with it.
