I used this http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS+Performance+Products/555/15946/10002/-1 when I replaced a high pressure pump with a stock style lower pressure fuel pump that had a 5/16 inlet (I have a 3/8 line to the pump).

It is not a fitting, it is just a premolded short piece of hose, 5/16 to 3/8. It was on eBay and reasonably priced. I never knew they made such a thing.
