What is this part

I remembered I picked up this "clip" with my 8 3/4 rear end. I can't remember where it goes......help , a picture would be great.

It locks the adjuster ring on the axle bearing.

It's a lock tab, goes on the rear right side (passenger side) on the axle shaft stud to lock the adjuster in place (to set the axle endplay)

Not real clear but if you look at the nut in the bottom right of the picture you can see the the lock tab. Goes on the right rear of 8 3/4 rear end.

Strange, mine is on the driver's side, no big deal just wierd.

You might want to swap axles from side to side.

Yes, it belongs on the passenger side.
