What yr 741 case?

i need to order new carrier bearings and races for the 8.75 diff but i don't know what year the case is? it is a 741 case non posi, think it was before tho. it has an "X" on the case.

any help? can post pics if needed.

The difference is the bearing surface od of the carrier.

Measure the carrier bearing surface and look up which one is correct.

well i looked at the link but i didn't see any measurements??
i went to chk the numbers on the bearings but there wernt any that i could see.

i did see on the open diff it had 2070745 then under it was 41.

on the case it was 2070741 and under that was 7C9 and 24.

Type the bearing numbers into google, look for specs.

i used a dial caliper and where the bearings press on it measured 1.793in
