The car looks outstanding! I can't believe this ends in an hour and zero bids.......................is that right?
yes sir Scott. It has been put on 3 or 4 times in a row. I've been following it through the process. I think the last time or maybe the time before it bid up to around 22K and did not sell. A couple of times it did not make the minimum.

Beautiful car..........

https://youtu.be/yKJPYcXFbjU This is my avatar. It is not a formula S even though it was originally advertised as one. It is a performance package car c-5 and has the t-8 tachometer option added to the performance package option. You can see the options on the fender tag and I do have the tachometer. The previous owner substituted the Sun Tach when the original quit working. This was an online auction as well but not as large of an audience as an ebay auction. I paid 20K delivered and it is in similar condition to this red one.

Thanks, I tried watching the video, clicked on it, and had an error......................

Fee-Bay is a horrible place to sell a car. Bringatrailer with their 2 minute timer at the end eliminates someone waiting till the last second to bid. I've seen cars double in price after they would have ended on eBay. Here is a 74 Cuda with a 426 hemi sitting just over 23k with three days to go. Any guesses on what it sells for?

@jeff alder - please check inbox. My interior is close to done except for the divider board you're sending me. Thanks!

@73Charger318 really nothing wrong with eBay. Decide what you want to spend and bid that amout, and the computer bids for you to your full amount, but only if necessary.

BAT everyone knows any bid adds 2 minutes to the close, so they play to that.

And bidding early just costs the buyer more money at end.

Plenty wrong with eBay, but to each their own. Much more likely to have bidders not pay when nothing is risked. And if someone bids 20k on my car, I want the bid to go to 20k, (like on BAT), not 15k because the high bid at the time was 14.9k. Potential to leave significant money on the table is way higher on fee-bay. Not a bad place to buy a car though, just know what you're bidding on because ebay will not have your back no matter how badly the seller misrepresented the car. Much more transparent transaction on BAT, since you can see questions asked of the seller and his/her responses.

Not just blowing smoke, when I had my classic car broker business I was a power seller on ebay motors and have sold dozens of cars there. My favorite place now is carsandbids - but they don't deal with our older cars like BAT does.

I liked the ebay buying process several years ago when I bought the last car there. When you put in a bid with 3 seconds left you were almost sure to win the auction. I don't know if it is still set up where the clock ends the bidding but it helped me buy a couple cars.

it's a nice car but reserve is over 20k? I can think of like 20 others i would buy for 20k...
It's a matter of personal taste for sure. Some guys would buy a Mustang or Camaro. This is more of an experiment with 2 separate ebay auctions with 2 different unknown reserves with 2 different minimum bids. We are comparing what the 65 Red S 4 gear does vs. the blue s 4 gear 66...and testing the market for what Mike's 66 Dart might bring.
