What's up with the LA Dart engine?

Maybe machine it on a lathe or center drill it somehow but there would be no way to use a hand grinder and keep the hole centered. If it isn't centered, it will vibrate. It would be better to just have a convertor made to fit.

yeah good call.
back to the grinder....though I wouldn't condone it as a regular practice...I have done it before and it worked with no more vibration at 3400 rpm cruise than the stock drive train before the swap, they are not interference fit...

I've even used trimmed down fence post pipe to use the early trans/convetor to a later 70's slant .8)
