hey everyone this is ed. recently picked up a 70 dart with a 383/ 4spd. its a little rough around the edges but i got a great deal on it. it should be a fun car to learn how to work on. so far ive installed seat belts and next im gonna figure out how to replace the steering wheel (cracked plus the horn intermittently decides to blow, lol). the transmission is kinda grinding (on downshifts) so ive been considering a tkx (i have 3.55 gears and the extra gear on the magnum seemed unnecessary?). the car handles mushy as heck so i will have to learn about suspension options. id like it to be a daily driver/ cruiser/ canyon carver. it has already given up hope of being original so why not make it into what i want it to be right? oh also not thrilled with the steering ratio. did a donut and countersteering out of it was sketchy, haha. taking it for an inspection soon which should also let me know if there are any issues that need more immediate attention. so far its a strong runner so im hopeful. thanks for the interest! any advice would be welcomed.
