IMO if you're considering ever upgrading the front brakes or rear axle in the future just stick with whatever wheels you got for now because you'll have to get new ones later anyway. I'm guessing since you have drums all around you're going to upgrade to front discs at some point, and the only ones worth swapping on are '73-up with 5x4.5" bolt pattern. Also if you have a wimpy 7 1/4" rear, that will have to go if you ever swap in a V8 and 90% of the stronger rear-ends are 5x4.5"...
For now I'm sure you can find a decent set of 5x4" BP Rallye wheels for less than $500, they look great and have that OEM peace-of-mind... To me having some pretty wheels isn't worth it if you're risking having one come loose/fall off, although I personally drive my cars very hard so it may be different for you.
