Hey guys
I've got a 1965 Dart /6
With 9 inch brakes. (shoes)
I recently rebuilt the wheel cylinders on the rear
After I had everything back together , I noticed
That there were 2 spreader washers that go up against the
Cups in the assortment of old replaced parts .
The new kit did not come with these ,
My question is , since the new kit didn't have any ,
Does that mean you can run with out them ?

Just the inside spring pushing on the cups inside ? No washers ?
Thanks guys and FABO

I wouldn't assume that because they were not in the kit that they are not needed. They probably don't wear much and are not necessary to replace with new ones, just re-use the old ones.

The OEM engineers do not put in things that you don't need. If they put it in there, they needed it. If you don't need it, they wouldn't have put them in there....

It still may work without them, but I would recommend putting them in.
