Got the small bolt pattern 8 3/4 in my Dart. Going to replace the wheel studs and lugs. My front discs are 7/16 but I see 7/16 and 1/2 inch studs for the rear? Which set should I get? I'm going with wide steelies.

What is on your axles now? When I upgraded to stronger Dr. Diff axles he suggested going with 1/2 inch studs. The holes in the wheels worked fine. The holes in the drums needed drilling. Half inch studs are way stronger than 7/16".

If you're trying to stay original, not only do you need 7/16 studs, but the driver's side is left hand thread. Good luck finding any of those new.

To save your sanity - if you are going to replace the studs, replace them all with right hand 7/16 studs. It is clear there is no mechanical reason that requires left hand studs. NO ONE (OK 99%) who you take your car to for maintenance or repairs will be familiar with this quirk of old Mopars and will crank up the psi on their impact wrench and either break the studs or successfully distort your front hubs. This was the first lesson I learned at a tire shop in 1975 - back when these cars were common they didn't get it.
