Is there any source of window felts or "whiskers" that are actually functional? Ive purchased "Repop" brand from classic industries and "Topcat" from Dantes and they are identical to each other but are much thinner than the originals which leave about a half inch gap between the felts and the glass which basically renders them useless. Picture attached shows the difference between the original and the topcat I just installed.

Both those pics look like orig?
Topcat is the best out there.
@RPM440+6 may be able to help, he is a site sponsor, retailer and good guy.
The one on the black side (interior) is original and the material behind the felt is much thicker than the topcat installed on the red side (exterior). The new felt doesnt touch the window at all. I can fit my fingere in between.

Honestly i heard topcat is the best which is why i ordered them after the cheaper ones didnt touch the window. But the ones I recieved were visually identical to the “repop” brand that were about 60 bucks cheaper.

I have just similar problem here. The felts are way too thin. Haven´t been able to find better ones anywhere.

I just returned a set of Repops to an ebay seller who struggled to understand the set of outers for a 4 door Dart/Valiant they sent me will not work for inners and outers for a '72 Duster. Even after seeing pics  But my brief inspection showed they were quite skimpy indeed and got me to thinking about shaving off the "felt"/whiskers on them and replacing it with home felt weatherstripping-the stuff that slides into the grooves in windows and doors.

Ordered a set from Vans this time. We'll see what they look like. They didn't list a brand name but they can't be worse.

I had the same issue of the mfg sending 4 outers with my 75 D100. It seems to be difficult to find correct inners once you get away from popular A-B-E body cars.

Just a follow up. I contacted classic industries who I bought the “repop” name brand ones through.

They had Repops reach out to me and they then sent me three different thickness felts so I could mix and match to get the correct fitment.

The thickest of the three on both the inside and outside were very very close to the original. Maybe just a tiny bit too thin still but close enough to make me happy.

If you guys still need them, reach out to Vince. He was great to deal with.

OK, these are the ones Van's sent me. Ordered them on ebay Saturday, UPS dropped them off Wednesday. Again, application is '72 Duster. And I like these a lot. Not as concerned about original look as I am about keeping water out of the door and it really looks like these will do the job once the glass is final set and aligned. Plus, a nice chrome molding to wrap over the edge. And, $96 cheaper ($200 shipped) than the offerings from the previous vendor.

Let's see them compared to the others. You said the 1st were Topcats from Dantes, but these look better(but also Topcats).
