I am in need of a wind shield rubber or gasket or what ever you may call it for my 1967 Barracuda. New if possible. Part #wbl690 Thank you. Pat Found it. Thanks to everyone. Sorry that I didn`t mention it is a convertible. Pat.

...they call it a "locking strip", but it's really decorative plastic "chrome". I know people who have ripped out the rotten plastic strip -- their windows haven't fallen out. But the open slot collects water and debris. The "locking strip", if you can find it, only lasts a couple of years on a daily driver -- it shrinks and cracks in the sun. Plus, you need the stainless steel corner trim pieces to make it look finished. Basically, the whole set-up sucks, IMHO. This is why converting to the 68-69 stainless is so popular. And the time to do it is while the glass is out and you are replacing the gasket.

Best price I can find for a 67 B-cuda front windshield gasket. Do you know 67 gasket requires a "locking strip" to lock the glass into the gasket? While 68-9 use stainless trim.

New WCRD690B - $83.00

understood - I have converted several of them to the stainless. Just making sure he understood.
Leaving the strip out leaves a loose seal between the glass and the strip especially with a new gasket. an old one is hard and has little to no give. Yes it is decorative but also serves a function.

There are alternative lock strips that can be used that seem to work better as far as shrinking etc. I hear Dodge p/u used one in the 70's that can be used?
