In 1935 Ford entered 10 V-8 powered Miller built FWD cars at Indy. All dropped out within 145 laps because..... The steering boxes were too close to the exhaust and failed!
I was under my Valiant tonight and wanted to move the shifter cable a bit farther away from the header tube....didn't matter how I tried there was a header tube, a torsion bar, throttle pressure linkage or a starter in the way...aaahhhhh!!!!
