Wrong axle length, green bearing fix?

How's that "easy" workin out?
Unless you have another "pumpkin" set up with different gears already...not easy. Even then it's still not easy, unless you like dealing with a heavy, dirty, smelly mess...not!

I guess. To me it comes with the territory. In for a penny in for a pound. I threw the easy button away a long time ago.

ideally I’ll have a 2.91, the 3.55 I just built, and a 4.11 or 4.56. Yes swapping the pumpkin is super easy, especially with an oil evacuator and bonded pumpkin seal.

I drive the wheels off my cars, and enjoy wrenching. When I have the right parts at least!

In my fury I had 3.73 and 4.11, not enough spread between those two. That was 20 years ago.

I was able to score a set of 29 3/16 axles out of a 70 satellite wagon from a local hot rodder. Also got a 741 with 3.23s and a spool for pennys.

Thanks to everyone for the help!

Yup, probably gonna go that route if RattyBarracuda doesn’t have what I need.
I use to be called the Van Man years ago. I would buy vans and part them out for my van and sale off what was left. Many van parts fit in our cars, back in the day. Many 3/4 ton vans came with the 8 3/4 rears and I sold them to people with "B" bodies. If I recall, their length was only 1/2 inch wider than the "B" bodies. They are still around.
