Wanting to buy a high performance water pump for a 340 build up. Needs to a driver side inlet, must be in service ready condition, no leakers and no rebuilders.
Thanks for looking

I have a pump that was purchased for my 273 commando turns out there is a difference between air conditioning pumps and non air I’ll send you a picture it’s new 8 vane

Yes there is, and also a difference in AC and non AC water pump pulleys.
The 6 vane pump is actually for an AC car.

The pump you show in your pic's is the same one I have know. I was looking for one that has the plate attached to the back side of the impeller.

Six vane for A/C ? I am not questioning your statement, but you would think it would take more flow for a car with A/C. Now I really confused.

I agree, seems odd. I thought the same thing.
They use a smaller AC water pump pulley. I guess their idea was to spin the pump quicker.
Not sure if it pushed more water, than the 8 vane. I usually just use the 8 vane pump, none of my cars have AC.

I have the original with numbers on it but may have been rebuilt in the past with 8 vane and it is an ac car, so the replacement pump I purchased for ac also has the 8 vane. The problem with the pump pictured is the wide flow port that is plugged that’s where my ac bracket mount mounts. It won’t make it with its wider port design.

Are you using the factory stock A/C bracket/mount or aftermarket?
