904 Tail shaft trans leak that looks like a bloodbath reminiscent of the hallway scene in the shining. So after i pulled the Drive shaft, my output yoke plug is missing. The one pressed in for machining the splines. Before i jb weld a new plug in to get me by (yeah i just said that) Ive seen them with weep holes. Correct me if im wrong.. should have NO weep hole and should be solid plug?

Per steve peluso.. The Yoda of all transmissions... no weep hole. Thank you for your time, effort and concern.. my garage floor will be happy. The manufacturers of speedy dry, will not be happy.

One quick thought-
Double check your driveshaft length. If it's a hair too long, the yoke could be too deep on the output shaft, and when the rear suspension flexes the yoke moves forward and knocks the plug out...?

There should be at least 3/4" (give or take) of travel before the yoke bottoms out on the output shaft, at rest with the suspension loaded, wheels on the ground.

He beat me to it, When I read this post, first thing I thought of was the tail shaft splines knocking it out from shaft being to long.

Is the drive shaft, rear end and trans original to the car?

I have that 3/4". No witness marks on output shaft. And... witness marks from seal are well below 3/4". I have no idea how it happened. someone maybe packed it with grease. Maybe it rusted. But not poked out by output shaft due to driveshaft being to long. But good thinking. See above photo for redneck jb weld, 5 min epoxy,
Repair. Lets see how long it lasts. Its currently curing.
