Expand the list of inventors. There isn't any relevance to which name appears on the list first. In this case, it was done alphabetically.

Oh crap. I hear a mouse in the garage chewing something. Time to set up some mouse traps with peanut butter for bait...
I had one in the house. Dcon took care of him but I get a dead mouse odor from time to time.

Yeah, that's why I use these bar traps. I want the confirmed kill and want to get the body out of the house. I just scanned the entire garage with my UV flashlight. There isn't any evidence of regular trails being used so that means it's a new mouse looking for a home for the Winter. The traps should nab him.
