Still has the original (?) stand-off clip on the water pump housing

52 degrees this morning, no wonder i felt cold this morning.
Guess i will work on cleaning up shop this week, order firebird front end stuff so i can get back on it after vacation. Heading to east coast on sunday for 2 weeks.

So I finally found the wife a car she likes from a friend Matt. 95 Blazer 4WD. $1500!!! Has 130K on it all higway FL and back 7 times a year. No rot and he has worked on it since 30K. Guy died and left it to him. Finally took it for a ride yesterday. Nice ride for sure. Fully loaded and all in great shape some small rips i the bumper facier. Would like to put tires on it and a exhaust since it is OEM. She is actually talking about selling the Firechicken!!!!!!! Figures needes a body control moduale programed and the GM dealer tried but could not do it WTF!
I like Holleys or Holley style carburetors. The only thing I'm not crazy about on the older design like that one is they are not as adjustable as some of the other variants like for instance, the Quick Fuel carburetors. They have adjustable air bleeds, idle fuel restrictors and all that good stuff. That allows you to really get zeroed in. From the looks of it, you may be pretty close.
The carb comes stock with .066 or .064 jets. I haven't been inside yet to verify that. I have the shop receipt showing it as being installed in 2012
Well, what I was most referring to with the Quick Fuel comparison was, the older Holleys have no way to adjust idle mixture without some drilling and tapping modification to the metering block(s) and drilling and tapping for adjustable air bleeds. It's not that hard to do and once done, you can tune to the nth degree.......but if the carburetor is closely sized for your application, you may not need to.

Dart is sandwiched between… which is what’s taking so long digging it out. Moving 12 tons of boat anchor with locked tracks isn’t easy or quick

We got it in there that way, we’ll get her out . Just don’t have the equipment we had then though. May rent a d8 for other stuff next month so that may be the trick

Hey Chris if you run one on the street you want a higher ohm ballast resistor so it does not overheat, hence lower RPM output. What you want to do?
