Well guys I have a set back on the instrument cluster. The regulator from 12v to 6v gave up and fried my fuel gauge. I was able to bid on e-bay for another one and got it. Now I am waiting for the Voltage regulator that I am Getting from Demon. Once I get that I will be able to put up the steering wheel back into place. Also got the Headliner and it turned out to be the wrong one. So now I must wait for the upholstering guy to come and make a fix for it. I am not sure if the Bows are the right ones or not. But like we say it is not a build if there isn't any problems to come along with it. We shall see what happens.

Hey Lime, glad to hear you are still moving along. Are you using factory or aftermarket gauges?

Tin I am using the Factory Gauge Cluster. Today I received the Voltage reducer from www.demonivr.com and Installed same and it works good. Now I have a Fuel gauge. If I was to use the temp gauge it would work also But I do Have aftermarket on the Oil Preasure, Water temp and Voltage. I guess later on I will change over to aftermarket on all but for the money situation right now I will use a GPS I got. Cant wait for the Turkey Rod Run Next week. There I will get the front and rear windshield.

Lime, what is this voltage reducer your talking about? Doesn't everything require 12 volts?

5.7 it is a Voltage limiter. Your cluster gauges are 6volts and not 12v. What happens is tha behind the gauge cluster there is a voltage reducer from 12v down to 6volts so they wont fry. In my case the same went bad and it delivered 12v to the gauges and fried them. I had to replace them and thanks to DemonIvr I was able to buy one from them that would reduce the voltage and it works real good. Now I have use of the gauges.

So the aftermarket gauges I have use 6 volts. not 12? How is this possible when I hooked them up to the wiring harnes (Ron Francis), and they worked, I'm lost, but I'll take your word for it.

5.7, I think only the factory gauges use the 6V, aftermarket use 12V. On another note, I was looking into a Ron Francis harness until I heard they were recently bought out by a Chinese company who is cheapening it out. Nothing but trouble since the new owners.

Hey Lime, question on your Hotwire harness. Supposidly there is 30" of wire that stays on the inside of the firewall that goes to the computer. My question is, is that true? , and is it excessive? ( seems like a lot of wire if you are going to put the computer somewhere near the glovebox). I hate having a big bundle of excess wire that you have to coil up and tuck away.

Tin, Because of the way that it wraps around the engine compartment and then as it goes into the vehicle it is long enough to attach it close or at the glove box compartment. Remember that if you were to install the a/c or heater box it will go over it so this way it will not be too short. I have just enough to install the box but I went ahead and wrapped it towards the top and it is out of the way. If I was you I would not worry about it. If you do order it make sure you let them know that the wire that goes to the transmission on the passenger side to sensor needs to be at least 6" longer so you are able to have enough. I found mine to be just there and would have rather to have it somewhat longer at that point. That is if you are using the 45RFE Transmission. Also if you are using your regular ignition make sure you let them know that you want it with the ignition relay. Our ignitions tend to lose power between the Run And Start and with the relay you basically keep the power there so it can Run/Start with no problems. Talk to Chris he is a great guy and goes out of his way to help you. By the way on the above I was Talking about the factory gauges and not aftermarket. The aftermarkets are 12v so you wont have any problems.

Ok, now your making sense to. I just pulled back the "big" heat shrink and that gave me some length, so everything fit real nice.

I hope your wrong about ron francis,, i was going to geta kit for my barracuda,,he is the only mopar friendly after market wiring co,,,with great tech service,,

I'm not 100% sure, but a good friend of mine who is building a glass 37 Ford roadster just told me that info on Sunday. So I ended up ordering a harness from American Auto Wire, they are having a sale until Dec. 16th. They are giving 12% off their builder series, which has everything I needed.

let us know how that wiring system works out,,ron francis is the only mopar friendly kit i know of,,that has the correct plugs and color codes,,not saying other kits wont work,, just takes a little more effort,,and you will need to convert the after market industry standard GM, color coded wiring they supply,,over to mopar,,another great american company (ron frnacis) going down,,,

www.classiccarwiring.com has really nice laminated wiring diagrams of what ever year mopar you are wiring,,color coded, and 2 different size diagrams,,for like 20 bucks,,,you may want to look in to one,

:cheers:Well guys today I got back to work on the Car and was able to get the headliner inn. Here is some pictures I took so you guys can see it. It was not easy but on the other hand with patience it can be done. By the way the company I purchased this headliner from in (e-bay) Got me good on it. It was not even the right one. The bows did not match and I had to cut in new holes to move them. But overall although it was not the right one it came out pretty good. I like it.

I know 5.7 will love it. Anything with **** he gets a kick out of it.

Custom fabrication. baby!! That's what it's all about. Yer gonna have to do it the RIGHT way, which usually ends up being yer way. The right way.

One size fits all! Just ask JC Whitney... It universally fits NOTHING, until ya git yer paws on it.

Good work. Keep it up.

Before............After.

You are Damn right. We must perfect what others don't know what to do. But at the end we conquer. Friday off to Daytona Turkey Rod Run. I will see if someone in the swap meet there has anything for mopars. Every year I go it seems that only one maybe two guys have parts there. Hopefully the guy that sells the windshields will be there. If I manage to get both hopefully the car should be done by the end of the year. The one thing I am having a hard time getting is the weatherstripping for the back window. I am crossing my fingers at this point.

You know me so well----headliner looks good.

Well I got back from Turkey Rod Run and was pretty succesfull. I was able to find the window cranks, Front and Rear windshield, rear window gasket. Vintage Auto glass believe it or not had them and will ship them to me. Pypes Performance was there and I also picked up the exhaust. At the price they gave me couldn't let it go by. They beat everyone elses price. Same thing happened with the A/C system so now because of the price I got I'll be able to drive around with A/C and or Heat. I am very exited in overall it was a good day. There was one guy there with tons of stuff for our type cars. I was impresed this time.

Headliner looks great, glad to hear you scored at the swap meet.

sweet,, glad you found some parts, and werent waisting time looking at to many cars,,lol,,wil be intresting to see how the window gaskets fits,,let us know,,,now get off the puter and get to work ,,:toothy10:

I will as soon as they ship them to me. Now as far as the exhaust that I will put inn this week and hopefully put a video up so you guys can hear her purr. After that if no glass comes in then I will start the A/C work. So off to work this week.
