Yep. Unfortunately life and school got in the way. I've done brakes and got her running and driving but now I need to get shifter right so I can get her tagged for short trips to the dollar general, haha. Odds and ends don't stop when life starts a new direction
i can barely tap the shifter on 3/tree 65 valiant 225 and it will fall out of gear. I've looked at linkage under hood and can't see where it's slipping or anything odd. I'm guessing it's in the column but I can't seem to figure out how to remove the middle portion to see if something is...
It is a 3/tree and is during shift and acceleration. It is new/rebuilt and I put it on and followed the instructions as best I could to set correctly. It is now also doing when I out throttle 1/4 way down in first after start. Thnx guys for replies. I sure missed this place.
im back after a year of school and trying to piddle on the valiant. 1965 Plymouth valiant with super 225. New gas tank, new lines, rebuilt carb, timed (so I think correctly ) ignition etc. problem is when I'm shifting from 2nd to third it bogs down and sputters then if it's feathered a little...
I live in the Nashville TN area and have some repairs that i would love for someone more experienced take a look at and give me an estimate. Mainly tranny stuff and some wheels/parts buying info, but any and all advice would be appreciated. Feel free to IM me or reply here. Thanks, stoney

Im leaving the engine. Im not great with transmissions and the interiors of them, thats why i was asking what number would be direct fit and bolt and go. Love an old wagon.
My Rosey is a 65 valiant with a super 225 and a three speed tranny. Problem is that when i am shifting from 1st up to 2nd, the gear lever will just call out of gear. Nany ideas fo an affordable solution to this issue?

Getting ready to replace the water pump and i have a replacement pump that has a metal plate attached with a gasket sandwhiched in between with plastic holders. My question is this...when replacing the pump do i just need to put sealant on the block where the pump attaches or do i need to...
