[WANTED] DRIP RAIL MOULDING FOR DUSTER

The full top is different from the canopy top. The first molding by the driver's windshield would be smaller because it doesn't grab any vinyl. Therefore both pieces wouldn't contain the green stripe, I wouldn't think. I really need the one by the windshield.

True car people are becoming a thing of the past

It angers me too! I just don't get it, the car shows I bring my 73 Duster to, they open it up to "all years". That's just wrong!

[WANTED] 73 Duster Drivers Side Drip Rail Molding

If it's in pristine condition, I would consider driving down, it's only a 3 1/2-hour drive. It wouldn't be until after the new year. Jack

Stop in for a cup of coffee

Just waiting for my new vinyl top to come in from Legendary. The car had minor rust under the back window, the restorer could save the vinyl. He did find that the 51-year-old roof still had sticky adhesive on the underside. I hope to get it back before the snow flies.

    [WANTED] 70 340 duster parts

You are better off purchasing the engine wiring harness from YearOne. M&H makes an OEM form fit and function harness, all connectors are the correct ones too. They are expensive, but you get what you pay for. I did not regret spending on mine. Safe from fires caused by bad harnesses.

    Tailight panel and quarter panels

If your current panels are factory. Hit the joint with heat to melt the lead on the outer edge of the tail light opening. Once the lead is removed you will be able to see the joint for sure. My body guy only had to replace my quarters, so I would say the the quarters would go over the tail panel.

Did any year of Duster come with a stock coolant overflow tank?

My '73 California Duster (318) came with a square plastic bottle that had a metal ring around the neck. It was mounted on the right inner fender next to the alternator. Couldn't find a replacement so I went with the one that mounts next to the radiator. The mounting hole were already there for...

    New fuel gauge sender option

I have an OEM sender (restored by Instrument Specialities) because I wanted to keep using my original fuel gauge. Any other modifications (i.e. mentioned above) would lead to issues in the future in my opinion. I'm too old to change now.

    Fuel tank venting

As mentioned above, I would go with the original vent tube into the engine bay and connect it to the "carbon can" system. The carb would vent to it too. I would go that route, you just need the second fuel line.
