here is the numbers matchng 340.. it was rebuilt in 1989 and was completely gone through parts/blue prints wise in 2002,, every thing was fine i just re-gasketed it . put on a new oil pump..and sent the heads out for a valve job and some gasket matching and light porting..we put a purple .484...

Up for bid is a 1972 plymouth duster super stock suspension Drag Car. this vehicle body condition..is SOLID ..it started out as a driving 6 cyl duster twister. with minimal rust in the common areas . drivers side floor board and pass side floor board..it has all the original panels ...just some...

here are more pictures i took the under chassis with my phone..the coloring is Georgia red clay/dirt not rust. its an under coated car with rust on only bare metal items ....like suspension bolts and leaf springs....sort of thing. it has had a valve cover/pvc leak which dictates the oily...

i assume that means overpriced? this car is Immaculate ...im not talking about just not rusty in the nooks and crannies.. i am talking its shiney in the nooks and crannies.. this car with a v8 brings $20k ive seen plenty sell for 20k ..and were not in as nice conditions. when molested...

not sure you are fully grasping the internals of that engine... it will be a pig...unless you put 5.13 gear and switch to a stick shift. that engine is designed for a Target rpm range..ie short power curve.. its not gonna pull down low at all... that motor is designed to run in one gear and...

put a lil..sealant on the threads..youll be fine. chepast

that motor will be a dog on the street...youll have take soo much out of it to run properly ...youll prollly be better off...with a scratch motor.. unless you get it for a super cheap price.. cheapst.

sounds to me like it might have been lean adn it ate a piston or gasket...? also.. ?? ......could be something simple...but white smoke is coolant. pull the rad cap off then start it up...if you got puff puff puff in there.. its head gasket.. fwiw cheapst

going past the max flow will help hit peak port flow twice...once on the way up and again on the way down... the problem with these irons...is they get turbulant..so you dont want to open the valve too far past max flow -into a turbulant point/zone.. this will kill efficiency.. your point...

well?...these current heads were done ...partly by me..and partly by someone who ..i am no longer associated with..and at this point..people arent calling him a professional...So i wont...... this being said...ive done most of what has been done to these as far as porting..or i could do it...

ported X heads and more cam will get you in the twelves on motor. the no2 will give you roughly a second faster at your level of performance. the 484" cam i have alot of experience with in a 340.. the last one in a scamp (body/weight ect.) went 13.54 fairly easily.. but it took a lot of...
