    The low reverse band is holding in manual low. That will cause your 1-2 over lap. What got changed in the kit? Any springs, blocker rods, or plugs?

    Is it in the car? If it is.... you have to pull the pan and valve body. If not, the best way is still to pull the pan and valvebody. Nut bolt and two washers will draw the new seal in.

    Oh i was trying to figure that out... do the 8 1/4 share the same sizing as the 8 3/4? Length, spline count, diameter. Hmm i guess it would be easy to tell the 8 3/4 axles they would have had to be redrilled then. I know enough to get into trouble but not enough to get all the way out...

    sounds like an out of round drum. was it quiet when you ran it last? Pop the wheels and drums off then try it, you have to go there anyways if your going to pull the centersection.

    Anyone know what trans bolts to this bell housing?

    i rebuilt a 273 for a 66 chris-craft and it had a bellhousing like this. about the same color too...industrial was a reddish color i believe.
