Is it in the car? If it is.... you have to pull the pan and valve body. If not, the best way is still to pull the pan and valvebody. Nut bolt and two washers will draw the new seal in.

sounds like an out of round drum. was it quiet when you ran it last? Pop the wheels and drums off then try it, you have to go there anyways if your going to pull the centersection.

sounds like the low and reverse band strut fell out, like it was out of adjustment and popped out.

my friend had one in his chevy truck... tci reverse manual t350 with a mega shifter. it works in reverse, i prefer my pro stick/quarter stick, but it works
