I keep breaking rocker arm bolts, help please!

One of the best tricks that I learned in my years of wrenching in the rust belt is this - I have used all types and styles of easy outs including Snap-on, MAC, Cornwell, etc . All are pretty expensive and not covered for breakage either. Center punch the broken stud as close as possible to...

I broke a tap off in the rear driver's side exhaust bolt hole

Contact your local snap on dealer and purchase a broken tap extractor. I have dealt with this situation myself before , and the tool saved a lot of time and headache. But like treblig said it might not work , but worth a shot before cylinder head removal.

can someone educate me on the 340 6pk parts

Yes I do. The air cleaner is a little bit pricey, but the air filter is a least being reproduced now. Plenty of articles on how to tune them if you are mechanically inclined. I just rebuilt mine last season and it wasn't bad price wise ( I think it was $60 for the rebuild kit for all three )

can someone educate me on the 340 6pk parts

Don't need to go away from the duel scoop hood. Mine fit perfectly under there. I'm sure a member here would love to separate you from them if you do not want them. All that I know is there is no better feeling as when they all kick in !!!

    dipstick blues

That happened to me last year. Believe it or not it's easy to remove. I used a trans front pump slide hammer puller. But any slide hammer or sorts will work. Screw the puller into the broken tube, and a couple of taps and it pops right out. Do a search and there are a couple of threads on this...
