Cars up and running guys just need a good timing set and carb. tune. it was 180 off - fixed it in a matter of a minute or two. ever since i got a new vehicle ive lost all interest on my shark and had hardly had any time to work on it and drive it. :( thanks again for all your help as always.

1968 Barracuda notch (73) 440 charger motor with 727 trans. all stock - recently replaced the distributor with an ebay distributor the original one had busted threads to both vacuum bolts. and faulty internals giving me bad ignition timing 'tune' anyways i bolted this thing on and it turns...

I HAVE an old thread here somewhere asking what it was. but my NSS on my 727 is an older one we determined and its not connected to anything. :O car has been working fine but i understand this could be dangerous if started in gear. i believe it was a NS with a single post not three... id...

Lets ignore the fact that it dies out - that is all figured out and nothing big really . . . grounds - all good. ignition switch could be suspect....

it runs great when it does start. again it does this very rarely.

last night i adjusted my reluctor gap it was a bit wider than it should have been. .008 feeler gauge. set to) - my question is, is this going to mess up my timing? or anything else ? am i going to have to redo my timing again? :blob::burnout::happy1:

i cant find my relay either. - i think i found it under my drive side kick panel but not entirely sure.

my horn only has one wire..... ?? then what?

OKAY- does anyone have a diagram of how the horn should be wired? should be pretty straight forward correct? horn - ground and power to the horn button?

So if install a tach. i should not ground it because the coil is already grounded and it should not be grounded at all times? or are you saying the wire lead is grounding somewhere Via-> plastic coating exposure causing wire to ground causing car to turn off.

yeah i would replaced the pick up coil and the reluctor first. nice job fixing this its a pain for sure!!!! i had same issue. my car has been having some overheating issues and the coil is burning up and causing the car not to start after letting it cool down till it gets completely cool. Can...

there is a thread about "made in china" distributors how they don't really align correctly when rotor is installed with shaft. look into that ahead of time to see how to fix that if you come across that issue. looks good to me though. good luck.
