Just replace what you need, cut as little of the original quarter as possible. Cut the same sections from the panel as well, don't try to replace the whole quarter.

Thanks , but that is not the same molding, the molding I am looking for is only about 3/4" thick, and drops at an angle towards the rear wheel well.

I was going to scuff both surfaces first, I cant bring myself to removing the rear glass.

I may experiment with an epoxy on a separate piece of metal and test to see how strong it holds the clips in place. If it works I may go that route.

I just did the same on my 72. you have to remove the rubber to put the clips in. did you remove the rear glass?

It is mainly the top clips, I have the identical clips. They mount with a screw, there is no room between the glass and trim valley to install a screw without removing the glass.

It may be hard to tell, but the color is F3 Amber Sherwood And the top is dark green. The picture was taken late in the day with not a lot of natural light.

I like black, but I think it will be too dark. The green is actually pretty dark, and the top is dark green.

I use a 4" cutoff wheel, with a 4" electric grinder it cuts lke butter. I have an air powered one, but it is not near as fast as the electric. Just my personal opinion.

the color is factory. (no repaint) maybe its not metallic. but it looks like it to me. It seems to have some metal in it when it is polished.
