Buy New or Buy a Parts Car

From the pics, the outer body isn't all that bad. He said the rear frame rails are shot, and a front wheel bearing went out. It was a daily driver. Fenders look okay from what I can see, but I'll get a closer look this weekend.

Buy New or Buy a Parts Car

I came across a 72 Dart 2-dr slant 6 auto parts car I can get for around a grand. It's complete, motor, trans, and it runs. Im thinking of converting my 69 Cuda to street duty, so I'll need the heater box, ducting, some wiring, ect. I might use some interior pieces too, if anything fits...

    May Sell at Mopar Nats

I'm decideing whether or not to take my 69 notchback to the Mopar Nats and sell it. I just have too much going on, and it's gonna be another 5-10 years before I get to it. I don't think this car deserves to sit that long. It's already sat since the late 80's, that I know of. Decisions...

    Why Low Numbers in 1969?

Mine is a 318/904, power steering, manual disc brake car. Originally was red with a white vinyl top, white and red interior, console, AM radio. Just basic transportation when it was new.

    Why Low Numbers in 1969?

I had thought about back halving this car and cutting out unnecesary weight. But after hearing about the low numbers, I was having second thoughts about cutting up a low production number car.

    Why Low Numbers in 1969?

I found a few more articles. I guess it was just not appreciated like the Mustang and Camaro were.

    Why Low Numbers in 1969?

I was looking at the articles and read that in '69 there were only 7569 Barracuda V8 hardtops built, and 11,000 fastbacks. Other years had significantly higher numbers. What happened in '69? Was it the major design change? I'm just curious, as I own a '69 hardtop (High Class) V8.

    Prices falling on Barracudas

I know my '69 isn't worth a lot, but it reminds me of a good friend that is up in years now. When he's gone, it will remind me of him. I promised to put his name on the car when I'm racing it!! It's worth a lot more to me than to a collector.

Street Freaks, Customs, Rods, Street Machines...60's 70's 80's

If was a fun car to restore. If I could find a shot of the garage, there was a '79 Malibu Pro-Street and a '73 Nova SS hatchback that I had also.

Street Freaks, Customs, Rods, Street Machines...60's 70's 80's

My car from the old days. I MAY have a chance of buying it back. I talked to the currinet owner and he's thinking of selling. We will see.

Do you ever go in the garage and like....stare at your car....for hours?

I've been staring at mine for years now, just sitting there in the barn, collecting spider webs. One of these days, I hope.........

    Found a 383

I found a complete 383/727 combo, running, in a '69 New Yorker. It's a 2bbl motor. He's asking $900 for the whole car. Is it worth buying for the drivetrain?

    Aarrggh!! Money Woes!!

Looks like the 'cuda gets put on the back burner again. The house needs some repairs, the garage needs a new roof and I need to add on to my barn. I'm beginning to think that car is gonna sit another 20 years before I can get to it. It may end up being my retirement project!!

    I'm Frustrated!!!!!!!!!

Yep, live and learn. I have been selling parts off the '73. I think I've made most of my money back. Maybe I'll shoot for next year getting the car race ready. I guess I'll see if I can find a 68-69 A-body parts car.

    I'm Frustrated!!!!!!!!!

Actually I did ask here and someone told me that the '73 would work. So, IF I can find the correct parts car, what will work on my '69?

    I'm Frustrated!!!!!!!!!

I bought a '73 Dart for some parts to use on my '69 Barracuda. Well, I found out NOTHING fits!!! The trans mount is different, the trans tunnel is shaped differently, even the crossmember is slightly different. I'm so frustrated I'm about ready to walk away from this car and go buy me a...

    The End Is Near......

My quest for finding parts may finally be over. I have a '74 Dart being delivered next weekend. I'll cut out the trans tunnel I need and finally be able to move forward with my 'cuda!! :blob: And what of the Dart? I might post what is good on it and see if anyone alse could use them.
