Is anyone else "touchy" about their Mopar? (long rant...)

You felt bad afterwards because you took the "low road". When you lose your temper and curse at someone over a small comment, you look like an *** to everyone in listening distance. If you can't take criticism, then stay home where you will be safe from people hurting you with words!

Cruising RPM. can it be to low ?

I had a 2000 WS6 Trans Am LS1 with the 6-speed T56. At 65 mph it got BETTER mileage in 5th gear than 6th! At 70mph I could almost use 6th gear. Yes, you can lug the engine too much and your rod bearings will hate you for it. We are not talking diesels here.

list your most moronic thing you've seen done to a car

I took two running Dusters and made them into two non-running cars. Unbelievable to this day.

Went for a cruise today. Now I need an rear bumper!

Man, really sorry about your accident. However, I was hoping this was going to be a post about how you launched your car and put it on the rear bumper!

okay guys...biggest pet peeve at car shows

I would never put a "Do Not Touch" sign on any of my cars. Go ahead and touch them. If you ask, I will let you sit in it too. She said purple is her favorite color so in she went!

okay guys...biggest pet peeve at car shows

"That looks like a drag car. You ever run it?" "Yes." (Points at quarter panels covered in rubber) "Well then, what's it run?" "x in the 1/4 mile, y in the 1/8" "Well my friend's gardener's niece's uncle's car runs x.xx" (less than whatever number I throw at them of course) "Nice. My friend...

There is actually a guy around here with a Corvette that threw a tantrum because he didn't win best Corvette at a show. He marched past us and went and sat in his car and just stared out the windshield. I've never seen anything quite like it. Best part was when he won ANOTHER class at the same...

EXACTLY! I have said this so many times. We should get PAID to display our cars not the other way around. A spectator has ZERO investment, let them pay.

Every single Chevelle at a car show is an SS you can bet on it! LOL.

My strangest car show experience was having a Rolls Royce park next to me. Then this old hippie guy gets out of it and his 20 year younger girlfriend (not a looker!) She starts going on and on about my car then walks up to me screaming and says, "I want you to know something! I want you to know...

71 Scamp in a Video Game

That looks like two different games. I am a gamer and I don't recognize either one! I know in Forza you can build some really cool cars because I did my Camaro and even got the wheels and the paint color very close. No blower through the hood though. :(

Cool Duster at the car show tonight!

Honestly, I don't know what is going on with the intakes on each side of the hood. He never took it off and I did not hear him drive in. It USED to be a big block car I know that for sure so probably still is but it has been a year or so since I saw the engine.

Cool Duster at the car show tonight!

Beautiful weather, 70 degrees. But boy, the pollen has me sneezing! You sure can see it on this black Duster. Old School cool for sure and owned by a young fella to boot.

    The MOPAR power myth?

Yup. Builder not a buyer. Not sure you will ever know what you really have when all you did is write a check for it. I leave the "between rounds" stress at the track. The car is done when it is done.

    The MOPAR power myth?

Saw this Challenger tonight with a 500 in it. It sounded SWEET and worth every penny it cost him.

    The MOPAR power myth?

You are correct in your assessment. With that being said, we do it because we end up with something that DOES run hard, is not a Chevy or a Ford, and probably won't see another like it on cruise night. It WILL cost more money to get there, but once you fire it off and hear that exhaust note you...

Removing rust from nuts and bolts

Vinegar sure does work! I tried to for the first time 2 nights ago. I had an ashtray that looked horrible and I thought was beyond saving. The inside was all rust. I soaked it inside a big coffee can full of apple cider vinegar (all I had, I know I should have used white) and the rust fell right...

Lifting engine block with a hoist?

Yeah, I bolted the engine stand head to my bare 440 block so it was facing the tailgate. Then I rolled the stand over and locked the wheels. I lifted the motor up and slid the snout into the stand. I weigh 170lbs so it weighed more than I do.

    Spool on the street ?

I have had a spool in one of my cars for 15 years now. I have put around 20,000 street miles on it. I have driven in the rain (Florida rain!) quite a bit. The car has had slicks, ET Street bia plies and now ET street Drag Radials. The car would turn sideways with just a little moisture with the...
