Wrapped up the weekend by mating the tranny to the short block and then stuffing it all back in. Then hung the hood and did a final adjustment on the front clip. I finally feel like we are making progress. The heads are at the machine shop,and everything else is clean and ready to bolt on after...

Ok, we have been moving along. a few months ago we got the front clip prepped and jammed, then yesterday and today we got the front clip hung, and the short block assembled and painted. tomorrow we hope to get the tranny mated up and the engine/tranny installed. Its been a long slow road....

Ok, cleaned out the L'il 'cuda today and this is what I found. Two sets of factory wheel covers, complete disc brake setup, box of extra interior trim parts, dash, complete power steering setup. Dont know why the red column was swapped out, its in far better shape. Extra grille assembly, head...

This is whats up after Ian's Duster. I might get some work on it before winter hits, or not. :D Anyways, it is a factory V8 car with an early 80's 318, the original pushbutton, an 8 and 1/4 rear with disc brake conversion sitting on the floorboard, and a dual master cyl already installed...

Sorry I missed your post. That is a sweet little swinger. The CB antenna is a real easy one. Drill a hole in the center of the lid and bolt it on. lol It will be removed and hole patched before paint. ;-) The Duster is in the shop tonight and we will work on it most of the day tomorrow...

Awesome work !! Looks like Jake is having as much fun with this as Ian is having with his Duster. :-) I have a '64 barracuda waiting in the wings and seeing what shape your quarters are in really makes me appreciate mine. I only need the lower half replaced. lol

Thanks everyone. :-) Today was a little slow, our gasket set was short the rear main seal and could not get one before tuesday. So we cleaned up and blasted some other parts and have the Duster moved down to my work where we can finish preping and spraying the engine compartment.

Another Duster and another father/offspring build. :smile: My son and I are working on his '71.

Yea, but with both boys cars, and five other projects of my own, I think I need to pare down a couple more. The 47 Dodge might just go to help fund the Cuda.
