    I have resolved my problems. What I did was I used a roller lifter :oops:to gain some height for the dial indicator that would explain the 11 degrees, not thinking about the surface area. rechecked with PROPER LIFTER Intake duration 255 Exhaust 254 Intake CL 108.5 Exhaust CL 113 lobe seperation...

    Going to put the isky 555 cam back in that has very similar specs and check it. This is driving me crazy, the cam must be ground wrong

    Sorry I should have mentioned this, there is 6 that are worn\damaged. The tips of the valves are fine. Yes I have checked the geometry all is good .I run close to the same setup on another motor never had any issues. poor assembly maybe or some soft lifters??

    it is a half ball pressed in .there is no damage to the push rod on the end or the edge of the shaft? not all the lifters are damaged?
