    73' 340/904 duster racestoration

I'm sure you have highway gears too...Should be faster than your posted quarter mile times...My 4-BBL Slant six goes 17:50s at 79 MPH with 2.76 highway gears (for comparison)...Adding a set of 3.23 or 3.55 gears would surely do wonders! Solid car btw!

    Budget Build 70 Swinger

Oh trust me, I know exactly what you are talking about...I've been planning the repainting of my Dart for 5 years now and have changed my mind literally hundreds of times. Right now I'm debating between the FY4 and EK5 burnt orange metallic. Of course my paint job is still a year or so away, so...

    Budget Build 70 Swinger

Very good insight...Isn't your car FY4 light gold poly like mine though? Or are you saying that you are going to paint yours FF4 light green poly? my original FY4 paint has really grown on me too! I keep thinking I should just repaint the original color, keep the black vinyl top, add a black...

    My 70 Dart

Nice starting point! Keep us updated on progress! The rust isn't too bad, my driver's side quarter panel has more ;)

    Budget Build 70 Swinger

Agreed with your color statement...Unless you don't care about having mismatched colors throughout the car or don't mind doing all the engine bay work and such. The FY4 gold really does look great when repainted, you just don't see the color much as people usually don't stick with that color and...

    Budget Build 70 Swinger

Yeah I can understand what your son is saying when he thinks it is a "grandma's color"...I guess it has just grown on me because of all the great memories with my car and the FY4. 6+ years, too many round wins, 2 track championships, all the time working on it, and the Dart having been voted the...

    Budget Build 70 Swinger

Plum crazy is a good choice. I also think red looks good too EK5 burnt orange metallic (this color has grown on me for some reason) Not sure what green this is, but I love it! EK2 Go Mango! TX9 Black! One of the colors that I'll be considering. Another one I love when executed...

    Budget Build 70 Swinger

The FY4 gold has grown on me, but I think a color change is in order. B-5 Blue is always a safe choice. I'm thinking either black, A8 Dark gunmetal metallic (1971 color), or EF8 Dark green...Too many good choices and I have changed my mind on too many occasions. Sublime and the other high-impact...

    Budget Build 70 Swinger

Thanks! Paint is next on the to do list. Just a little cancer on the driver's side quarter, and surely their will be some under my original vinyl top. My Dart has my "senior-project" built 225" with a 4-BBL, mild cam, headers, forged racing pistons, etc...The 2.73 highway gears are keeping the...

It Hath Begun...56K WARNING 800x600 pics

Yeah I can understand that...Seems like very little is done on my car when I'm at college 9 months out of the year. One of the reasons why I may have somebody else take care of my cars body work. Cool that she participates with the maintenance/upkeep though. Please keep up on updates as I would...

    1974 Dart Swinger

I agree with Johnny Dart...Especially with a new teenage driver, an added distraction is no good. I put in a gauge cluster in that same spot (water temp., trans temp., and oil pressure), and I have a bad habit of looking down a little too often while on the highway. I was able to build a bracket...
