I don’t understand the need for two relays? I don’t see anything in your diagram that shows where the “dark blue and brown wires” are on either relay....

So what exactly did you just get done doing to your Dart? I already have a pro- billet dist. and a 6AL. I’m trying to find a place to wire the pink wire on a Holley EFI setup.

I don’t disagree his explanation is good. I’m a visual person, you can tell me something all day or you can show me once.

Also I have relays and have no issue wiring one in. Relay diagrams are what work best for me rather than me trying to figure out what wire goes to what terminal

72 Demon with a big block, factory wiring is all still there. Has two separate fuse blocks one feeding 12v hot stuff (fuel pump, gauge lights, ignition box) and one that is powered from factory radio power it runs the electric fan controller.

So the blue wire and brown wire together get me the clean 12v source I need?

I already have an ignition system that doesn’t use a ballast resistor. MSD pro billet distributor and 6AL box. Is there a wiring diagram for wiring the relay? I’m better with pictures than words when it comes to electrical.

I’m installing a Holley Stealth Super Sniper 550-877 FI kit and need a clean 12v switched source that is hot cranking and running. Instructions specifically say not to use the ignition coil, audio systems etc. where can I pull this from?

It wasn’t a throttle cable rubbing through, the engine is out and I just the day prior put the brand new throttle cable and bracket in. Thanks for the tip though, I’ll keep an eye out for that in the future. I’m 98% sure I grounded out the starter because I hadn’t shut the battery switch off...

Ok so looking at this wiring diagram, that dark blue fusible link connects to a large red wire inside the firewall correct?

Is this the MAD bypass I keep reading about? I have crackedbacks big 6 gauge Wire from alt to starter solenoid. Does this fix any of this issue?

Ok let me back up, my Demon isn’t stock... I have switches (ie racecar stuff) to run my ignition box, fuel pump, water pump, gauge lights etc. so my question is can I just wire the “12v keyed leg” to a switch powered from the Blue Sea fuse box

Yep it is and the wiring is on my list.

@slantsixdan can I just wire in a maxi fuse to replace this burnt up link? That would be my preference if so.

So how exactly do I remove that from the fuse block?

Didn’t say that was the cause, that’s what I was doing. I don’t even really care about the cause as I’m sure it was because I grounded out the starter. I’m more concerned about the fix.

Nope nothing near it but starter, and it’s laying on torsion bar. I should’ve shut battery disconnect off and forgot, decided I didn’t want to get out... doh

i was reinstalling the torque converter in the trans and heard a sizzling and saw this connection smoking, so I grabbed a rag and pulled it apart. What is the best way to fix this? I am pretty sure it is the main feed for the dash.
