Firewall is the same 64 to 66 so I dont know why it would not fit yours. I have the original motor mounts. Do you have aftermarket mounts that place the engine higher?

I have that bellhousing in my 66 with no issues or mods. I did buy the Brewers Z bar kit and it works flawlessly.

Make sure it is not cracked around it allowing it to move when pressure is applied. They like to break out of the sheetmetal.

If the springs fell out you need a new pressure plate.

The Charger puts the shifter in a different spot from the A body so they will be different.

Check with Brewers in Ohio

They may have used that shifter because the 65 one is tilted forward. That shifter looks like it sits straight up before being bent.

With the correct bell housing that will work for you.

It would have came with a Hurst shifter in 64 and 65. It will be a different shifter mount plate than the 66 and up as the early A throws the shifter toward the ash tray for the round hole in the hump. It will have different shift rods for the early A I believe because of the position it mounts...

I use Lubri-Plate it is like a white/yellow grease.

Us early A guys dont get much help with parts. Brewers did offer a fiberglass one for the early A.

Yup the early cast ones were painted red. They used a smaller clutch so to sell you need to find the right guy but there is some need for them still.

There are many different ones. I dont know the numbers but do know the early A takes a different one than the later A and so on.

I run close to stock street cars and never go to the track so no need to dump alot of money in a toy where stock works fine.

I have 2 Barracuda`s and they are both 4 speed although 1 I had to take out the auto and convert it. It is just more enjoyable to drive a 4 speed in my book. I dont race so I dislike an auto except in my daily beater.

Z rod should be different as the early cars are narrower. Linkage and shifter lean toward dash as the early cars had just a shift hole and not an oval.

65 has a ball and trunion driveshaft instead of a slip yoke.

Fluid who runs that it just adds weight. lol

66 was the 1st year in th A body for the slip yoke

If they are both aluminum overdrive units they will swap.
