Flattening that bow out of the fender might pull the body lines down and that might suck too. Get the gap closer at the door. Then the hood. And then go after the bow. Leave the bottom for last if you can help it. Make sure your body lines line up from the top down to the bottom

Turtle wax ice spray or surf city spray detailer has always worked for me. Hot rod black is pretty good stuff for the price. Bit shinier than matte but it looks good

If the lenses r just lightly scratched you can wet sand them with some super fine paper(2000) grit and polish them. Lotta work but can be done. Cracks r no good. They are hard to find in good shape cause they get brittle and are prone to spiderweb cracks. No aftermarket that i ve seen.

And yes the quarter window is darker because it has tint film on it. I m tryin to decide if i m going to tint all of them.

I m pretty sure they would have been chrome on the cars that actually had them. pretty sure demons didn t have scoop trim at all. just plain black scoops. I like the bezels myself.

i paint everyday. sometimes clear overspray as you describe being very faint....sneaks through the body and creeps out of hood to fender gaps etc. just a fine mist or dusty looking spot on adjacent panels. i use denatured alcohol on a soft cloth. if its pretty fresh...it wipes right off.

i blocked and primed my 72 demon project 3 times. and spent three days sanding and polishing. it s very time consuming. we just finished a 57 chevy convert at work. the body work was done when we got it. we blocked it. painted it. flat sand and polished it. put the mouldings on it. 8500.00...

i used lc 4500 clear coat with a flattening agent to match the original finish. it ll hold up a lot longer than buzz can. more expensive yes. but i ve seen the cars you build...they re worth it.

if you wanna go the expensive route...you could go to a auto paint store and have em look it up for you. i paint and it took some searching,,,but i did find a formula in our basf computer system for that silver. just did my 72 grille last winter.

I paint with basf or rm everyday. Not bad..but i painted for years with ppg. I say ppg all day long. I just painted my demon with ppg deltron basecoat and 2042 clear. 2021 clear flows really nice and dries slow. Both buff great. I agree with 4404spd.....ppg s the way to go.

You gotta be careful with using some etch primers with epoxy. They don t all get along. Hence ppg dp epoxies and their green self etch. 171 i believe. Take your time and ask as many questions as you need. Most folks on this site are super helpful and knowledgeable. Good luck

if you have access to a stud gun that would be best, or if you can get some kinda pry-tool in behind it...you might be able to pry it out. you might be able to run it up to a local body shop and just give em a couple bucks to pop it out quick for you.

sounds right to me.. i have to fix them all the time at work. i usually get the color built up higher than the existing paint, then once it is dry..block it down with a tiny chunk of paint stick and 1500. you can block it down and get it smooth then dab som clear over it let it dry and block...
