    Lost Frost plugs

This was / is very troubling. We really have no idea what caused this to happen and I suspect, we never will. We stopped working on the car and did something else. There is always work to be done around the house. We discussed what was said in this thread as well of what we received in PMs...

    Lost Frost plugs

We had installed the rad and hoses but left the drain plug on bottom the the rad was open.No water or antifreeze had been added..I guess we should have in retrospect.. I cannot think of any reason water would be in there unless it was tested after the rebuild ?? If there was water, why...

    Lost Frost plugs

I bought the engine as a "crate" unit. It had been built by a trusted individual. I think last year I had it broken in..that is where they attach it to an electric engine and spin it at 1500rpm (i think) for a period of time. The engine has never had water in it. I spray painted it last year...

Well the big came to start the engine...when we added the water, it started to pour out over the floor. With a quick inspection, we seem to have lost 2 frost plugs when it was stored outside last winter. We checked with the company that did a mechanical break in and they don't all water. Very...

    340 boat motor

..I guess I am not surprised..Chrysler made some high reving outboard motors for years...my BIL built a 8 foot ( 1 piece of ply for the bottom) hydroplane ..it looked like the pic below.
