i would not use use SS springs..the HD one from JR Spring is more than adaquate for spirited street use. i am using the KYB gas shock which i find to be a bit harsh, choppy. have a set of Edlebrocks waiting to be installed

JRS springs, HD there are some gas filled shocks around 40.00 each or you can upgrade to the edlebrok IAS for about 80-85.00 each there are some more expensive ones out there but for driving around, you have to decide about cost vs comfort..

i agree you want to stop better but if funds are an issue, check with Just Suspensions...99.00 front and 99.00 rear made a BIG difference with just the front and the addition of the rear made it "too good", so i took it off.

make sure both rear wheels off the ground you should also tap the end of the left axle shaft with a mallet to seat the right wheel bearing cup against the adjuster ////measurement is taken on the left side take the adjustment to zero,then back off to establish end play .008 - .018

the pin you have to knock out is tapered, look for the "wide side"of the hole and knock out from the other.

i tried some kyb's just after the hd springs (JBS) from jc whitney on my 68 valiant. i have found them somewhat "choppy" or harsh in the rear. next up is an edlebrock (some sort of special valving) in the 70-80 each range..there are more out there but your getting out of the stock range and...
