    Early A Body Sway Bars

Talked to Dave again today and the measurements we have are inline with the Early-A bar. He said to set it to ride height before making any modifications because the arms will move and to set the mounting tabs for the end links more vertical. Did those get welded on as well? Anyhow, we should...

    Early A Body Sway Bars

I finally got my front Hellwig kit, 55914, on my '66 Dart and it looks like the bar is a little too wide. The end link is at a bit of an angle and the lower ball joint is hitting the bar/endlink on lock out. This seems incorrect. It looks like it needs to be bent in about 1" to clear. Are...

    Which leaf spring?

I run the Mancini XHDs in my '66 Dart and they sat very high, over 1"+. I ended up using them with the 1" drop hanger Mancini. They're still very soft in my opinion and I'm having poly bushing added to the rear end to stiffen it up a bit more.

    show me your early A!

Hey BubbaCuda, I know this is an old post but are those wheels Coy's? 17 x 7 w 4.25 backspacing? I'm thinking about getting a set like that on my '66 Dart, did you need to make and modifications for clearance?

    Running 6AN Braided Fuel Lines

Hey All, I'm going to be running 6AN bradied stainless lines for feed and return. Anyone have a good tip on getting them through or around the front sub-frame? I didn't want to go under the sub-frame since this will be mostly a street car. I was thinking about putting a few holes in the...

    Suspension

^ True, I'm running solid 3/4" in the rear with no front swaybar and the oversteer has bit my *** a few times when I'm coming out of a hard turns hot. I can't wait to rip out the front end and get one in their along with some thicker torsion bars.

    273 to Slant Six Conversion?

Sweet, so I found a '71 s6 and tranny. I found early A s6 engine mounts on eBay for $45 bucks - does that seem too cheap? I would like a good mount because I'm going to put down good power :)

    273 to Slant Six Conversion?

Hey All, I've got a '66 GT that I'm looking to swap out the factory 273 with a 60-70's 225. I know you can convert the slant six k member to a small block but how does it work in the reverse order? So far, I've only planned on getting the slant six and matching 904 and a different radiator...

    Replacment Gas Tank?

Thanks for all the feedback! I ended up ordering everything from Van's in WI. I'm probabaly not going to pre-treat the inside of the tank (I'll let someone else worry about that in another 40-years) and I'm going to clear coat the exterior because I love that bright metal look that mullinax95...

Hey Gary, How's this tank holding up? I say it's nickel coated for corrosion resistnce but I'm leaning toward covering it up anyhow. What do you think? Thanks.

How was it putting that liner into the tank? Is it low viscosity? I was looking at the POR-15 product for the lining inside. I was thinking about simple epoxy chassis paint on the exterior.

    Replacment Gas Tank?

Hi All, I'm looking to replace my FSU, tank and tank straps in my '66 and I'm wondering if you can recommended where to get the best parts for the price. And do you all have any recommendations for coating the tank as well? From what I've seen most of them come bare steel and that's no...

Want Pictures: 273 w/ 90-degree Oil Filter Adapter

LOL, when I got the car back from my exhaust fabricator I found it already had a 90-adapter installed! We didn't put it there. It makes sense, I was wondering how he fit that 2.25" in there otherwise. It's painted the same color as my engine block so I assume someone else installed it over the...

    Fan Shroud Kit?

Anyone know of a good fan shroud kit for the 22" x 18" radiator in a '66 Dart? I'm looking for a generic/cutomizable AL kit. I found one on the web yesterday for $50 but coudn't find it again :P I'm planning on using a stock radiator, shroud and 18 1/4" flex-a-lite wide blade fan to keep my...

    eBay Shorties?

I'd rather get creative with the header and install than spend that kind of Green on my car. It handles fine for me. I just want it to go much faster in one direction :D

I thought the gearbox would be trouble too. I'm not opposed to cutting the fenderwells but that gearbox is a nightmare in the older As.
