318/ 3.91s

What do you guys think about 3.91s and a sure-grip going into my 8.25 rear in place of the 3.21 peg leg unit? This will be happening on Monday. Running a 10” 2600 stall tc in a 904 as well. All being my warmed up 318 with 40K since the rebuild. Comp XE268 cam. Running 255/60/15 rears. From my perspective, I don’t overly mind if it turns 3300-3400 at 65-70 mph. Sits at 2900 at 67-68mph currently.

Yeah, if you really don't care about the RPMs, 3.91s ought to make it take off real nice like. I ran 4:56s with a spool behind a 289 (yeah...) and it ran pretty tough around town.
