67-69 Barracuda - Max front tire height?

What is the tallest front tire you can run WITHOUT cutting the bottom edge of the wheel lip.

I have 26in. M/T sportsman fronts on there now but would like to go to the 28"'s. It looks tight when you turn.....

I had 27s on my car.

I have 205-75 x 14 on front of my 68 and they clear with room to spare (26.5 tall)
Iguess it depends on how high your front end sits
I have 1.5 inback of the tire and 2inches to the front of the tire (all at its closest points)

Thanks for the info. I will be under there this weekend measuring for new rears so it looks like I will remount the fronts and measure them more closely. I'm trying to fit the tallest possible front and back and everytime I have a wheel/ tire combo picked out I can't get the backspacing I need. PITA
