Seems I can't find anyone interested in the car. So I guess I'm going to have to chop it up, then maybe sell the titled carcass (I'm sure someone will do something illegal with it....) on ebay.

I'm looking for a value of the following parts....what's your opinion of a fair market price. Not a gift, not a gouge job. Once I set a value, I'll post them on the parts for sale section. I do have a few email saved from people who inquired earlier....

1) Drum to drum, 742 Case SG, 3.91 gears. SBP axles.
2) Bulge hood, in prime with inserts.
3) Complete 4 spd. set-up. trans/pedals/hurst shifter.
4) fully rebuilt, 69 340 to orig. specs.
5) The "shell" with all glass intact.
6) Full OEM qtrs. (donor 270 car)
7) Rust free, OEM 69 Fenders
8) OEM front floor
9) OEM cowl section
10) OEM inner fenders and rad. support
11) perfect OEM black dashpad
12) LBP axles, with bearings for 8.75 coversion w/ 10x2.5 plates.
13) OEM correct black steering wheel
14) Brand new set of front and rear windshield gaskets
15) Full car harness set OEM for 69 v8 auto car
16) Front and Rear OEM rechromed bumpers
17) 2 flat hoods
18) 2 trunk lids
19) 2 68 fenders, needs work

Misc. stuff: fully rebuilt 69 440 and 727 still for sale! BO

I may be blind, but I dont see any ads anywhere for this car being for sale. Why dont you list in the "cars for sale" section, put up some GOOD pics of it, set a REASONABLE price, and wait a spell for a decent offer. The parts by themselves will most certainly go for more than the car in 1 piece, but you will be saving another A-Body so it can wax more Ch*vies and F*rds! Thats gotta be worth a few bucks by itself!!

This isn't much of an ad....

...and, please, Please, PLEASE...post the #%&@!!*&$ location of the car!!!:toothy10:

Another one threatning to cut up a car if no one buys it. That is not cool. I have decided not to do any busines with people like you. I will never buy any thing from you or people like you. I hope some one buys the car and gives it a good home. You need help.

I think I know how much it's worth.

Googled the zip code on his public profile and it came back to Trenton, NJ 08610. I don't know if that is where the car is or not but its along way from Victoria BC.

Ya, I was just thinking I don't know the whole story. Mabby he has a good reason for cutting it up. Well I hope he does any way. Sorry for attacking you like that. I get a little out of controle some times.

Trying to sell a car with a "buy or I will chop it up" is BS. Can we have a moderator please delete all ads like this?

If you want to sell the car, place a real ad and reply when asked questions. If you can't do something simple like that, GTFO.

I think there was a for sale thread for that car for quite a while, at a reasonable price too......I hav'nt seen anything sell on here in a long time..
....heres the thread....1969 LM23P9-in NJ..do a search

I might also add...some of you guys might want to ask some intelligent questions before you start slinging crap......

This cars been for sale for a few months. He has has a number of threads about it.

Times are tough and big projects aren't selling. If I had the cash it would be parked in my driveway.

Try listing it on 340swinger.org and please register the car with me so we can track what happens to it.

Easy folks. This is not another case of vintage car hostage, "Buy my car or car I will send it to the scrapper. It will be made into poison toys for your kids in China".

It has been offered here on FABO several times since the early winter with the Central New Jersey location listed and a variety of pictures posted. Here is one of the many posts...

Its a great project for someone with the space and skills to take it on. I'm sure lots of leg work went into getting all the parts together.

Thanks Dave, I've been trying to hold this project together with all the parts, for someone local to NJ. I have not sold 1 part, even though some have asked. Projects are a hard sell. I restore 1 car a year, sometimes 2, with HS kids. The shop is being slated to closed. I'm sitting with 3 cars currently, and 4 months to restore 3 cars "aint" happening. Before I have to bring 3 cars,6 motors and hunderds of parts home to my little house (risking a certain divorce), I need this car gone. thats all.

This car has been posted on 3 diff. sites, for 3 months. No viewers. But then, no shortage of people accusing me of being a jerk for "threatening" to part it out. That's OK. everyone can have an opinion. However, its dead wrong in this case.

thanks. vent over.

Would you sell the 742 case 3.91 sure grip chunk seperate from the housing?

If so, I have a bud looking for one.

I think if you are patient and just keep putting ads out there, you may be able to sell it whole instead of parting it out.

I keep seeing guys here crying about not being able to find reasonably priced projects, then when they come up for sale, it's............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................?
I also keep hearing "Man if you were only closer."

Heck, rent a uhaul, make a weekend out of it and go get the sucker with a buddy.

I hope the car does not get parted out. If I had the money I would buy the car and all the parts and build it. It will be a stunning car once done. This is one of the best projects I have seen. Its the right car and all the hard to find (if not impossible to find) stuff all comes with it.

True, cost of transporting isn't as bad as some people think. It can be a deal killer for some. But if you really like the car, .........................

I hope you can find a buyer for the car. Maybe take best offer for the whole thing and get rid of it.
Don't forget to register the car with Adam.

'll go out on a limb and say the price is why the car isn't moving. I realize from the listing you have quite a few extra parts for it.

A recent sale of a car with less rust, lots less, from the CA desert area, 69, #'s 340/4 speed car, bulge hood, Yellow/black bucket interior, needs complete resto $3300

From the ad it sounds like $9500, then you have to buy the 340 at additional cost. You can get good, real nice drivers for that kind of money now.

I think I'd have a hard time getting 10K for my 70 340 4 speed car in this market.

Just my 2 cents.

That initial price was for EVERYTHING. Car and all the parts to restore it, including the rebuilt 69 340. I'd consider any reasonable offer, but have rec. none. That's why I said I'd even consider a trade of a 'driver' quality car. I sold my 68 Coronet RT to fund the first car we built (5 yrs ago), and I'm self funded at the shop. I have no school funds for any projects. I'm out of pocket, just looking to recover what I've spent. But in losing the shop, I'll have no storage space.

Check this out....I've restored 5 or six cars, but I don't even have a mopar of my own to drive. I had a volare S6 wagon, but sold it a week or two ago.

I've got way too many parts...even built 8.75 rears, 8.25 SG rear...way too much stuff to unload.

I will reg. the car with Adam 340 reg. so it can be tracked.

But the price? I want the car gone first, so the buyer can pick the parts he or she wants to go with it. When the car is gone, the parts will go. Make sense?
